Yi Guan Jian aids recovery from hepatitis. Symptoms may include acid regurgitation, chest pain, chronic hepatitis, cirrhosis, pain athypochondria, peptic ulcer, purpura; tongue: red; pulse: weak-fine-wiry or weak-fine-empty. This formula preserves Yin, promotes generation of body fluids, stops sweating, tonifies Qi.
Adult Serving: Prepare herbs as decoction. Drink 1/4 of the decoction each day for 4 days.
Preparation: In stainless or ceramic pan, add 6 cups clean water and the muslin bag of herbs. Bring to boil, reduce heat and simmer 30 minutes. Cool slightly, gently squeeze juice from herbs in muslin bag. Pour into glass container and store in refridgerator.
On day 1, pour 1/4 of the juice into a glass and drink a portion in the morning, store remainder in the glass in a cool place and finish by evening. On day 2, drink 1/3 of the remaining juice and finish by evening. On day 3, drink 1/2 of the remaining juice and finish by evening. On day 4, drink remainder of the juice and finish by evening.
Ingredients: glehnia radix, ophiopogon tuber, angelica sinensis radix, rehmannia radix, lycium fructus, melia toosendan fructus.
